Itinerary

Welcome to Thailand!

  • Upon arrival at the airport, pick up from airport and transfer to your hotel. Check in at hotel (standard time approx 1400 hrs).
  • Rest of the day is at leisure.

Enjoy Breakfast in Hotel.

  • Proceed to city tour with visit to the most interesting temples: Wat Chiang Man, The oldest temple in Chiang Mai Town. The temple is famous for its Lanna style chedi supported by rows of elephant shaped buttresses. Continue to Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Montean, Wat Lok Molee and Wat Suan Dok. Later in the afternoon, we visit Chiang Mai Night Market.

  • Today we proceed to a private half day Doi Suthep Monk Trail is a 6.3 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Chiang Mai city that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking. Start hiking trip at Chiang Mai Zoo area. The first section takes you to a small temple (called Wat Pha Lat), take no more than 1 hour. We are serenaded by weird exotic sounds of the forest -birds, insects, grinding bamboos, streams. Wat Pa Lad is the small temple less famous, but has many interesting architecture and sculptures such as the Buddha's statue and pagoda. and is constructed in Burmese architecture style and over 600 years old.
  • The second section is Doi Suthep Temple, the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai. At the top of the temple, you can view the pagoda, believed to enshrine the holy relics of the Lord Buddha, shining with real gold. A viewing platform also offers panoramic view of Chiang Mai City.
  • Overnight stay at Chiang Mai.

  • In the afternoon, proceed to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Tour. Pick up from hotel and drive approximately 1.5 hours South of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forest, and local agriculture area. Arrive at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Learn about the elephants and change into traditional Karen clothing. Meet the elephants. Feed, interact and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants. Have a mud spa with the elephants. Walk with the elephants to a river and bathe them. Say goodbye to the elephants and drive back to Chiang Mai.

  • Depart from Chiang Mai and drive to Chiang Rai on private basis and on the way short stop at Mae Kajan Hot Spring and Wat Rong Khun, the temple is well known for its decorations with white tone decorated reflected mirrors.
  • Afternoon visit Wat Rong Sua Ten (Blue Temple) which is in Rong Suea Ten in the district of Rimkok. The interior of the wihan is very beautiful. The entrance is guarded by two spectacular dragon statues. Then, visit the local market and evening explore Walking Street of Chiang Rai (open on Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Overnight stay at Chiang Rai.

  • After breakfast, private visit Baan Dam (Black House) which is the unique creation of national artist, Thawan Duchanee. Part art studio, part museum, part home. Baan Dam is an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs. Continue to Choui Fong Tea Plantation to enjoy stunning tea plantation views and the best matcha desserts!
  • After lunch visit to the Golden Triangle area on the bank of the Mekong River where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand border meet. Board a long-tail boat to visit the river bank scenery along Mekhong River. Visit Opium Museum and Wat Pra Thad Jom Kitti by climbing up 383 steps to the top of the hill. Afterwards, visit Long Neck Karen.
  • Overnight stay at Chiang Rai.

Morning after breakfast; you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home to India.
